Early Bronaugh Residents

Ogden

This photo is of Jesse Ogden on the left and his friend, William S Caton on the right. It was probably taken about 1903-1905 as William seems to be about 18-20 and was born in 1885.

Jesse Ogden is obviously one of the young men in the front row of the Logging Photo.

You will also find Jesse and William when they were students at Cooper College. Those receiving commercial degrees from Cooper College in Moundville for the 1904-05 school year were C. H. Folks, Jessie E. Ogden, J. T. McGlynn.

A Rev. Ogden preached the joint funerals for the train wreck victims in October 1904 at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Bronaugh. It appears possible that the Ogdens lived briefly in Bronaugh and he pastored the church there.
