Morton Irwin Home

Darrtown, Ohio

In 2008, I was invited to tour the Morton Irwin home at Darrtown. Cousin Jim Irwin and I drove over to visit the house in late October and we had a great time.

The home is located a few miles north of Darrtown (north of Oxford Road) right on the highway.

It is believed that the house would have been built about 1830, so this is where Morton's children would have been raised and many of them were born there.

The barn is across the road, although it is not known when it was built.

Thanks to Del and Mary Johnson for the invitation and for restoring the old Irwin home.
