Early Veterinarian
Dr. C. A. Clarke was one of the early Veterinarians of College Corner. His office was at the corner of Eaton Street and Maple Avenue. |
A Veterinary Product that was produced in College Corner was "Fistone", an Altertice and Tonic for Domestic Animals. The product was sold in a cardboard container with a metal top and bottom. |
The active ingredients contained a number of herbal substances, but also Sulfur and Arsenic Trioxide. Actually it was mainly sulfur and charcoal (thats why its black). |
The product was recommended for a variety of conditions of horses, cattle and hogs. |
