This 300 page book was published in 2010 . It took longer than I expected to finish, but this will probably be the definitive history on this small Vernon County town. Carefully researched, it contains plenty of stories of the early days before Bronaugh was founded, its founding in 1886 and continues up to 1910. There is about 50 pages on W. C. Moundville, Missouri, 1860 - 1910

The History of Agriculture at Southwest Missouri State was published in 2001. It details the history of the first 50 years of agricultural instruction at the institution first known as Missouri Normal School and then Southwest Missouri State Teachers College.

In 1904, there was a head-on collision of two Missouri Pacific trains. One of them was a west bound passenger train packed with excited people on their way to visit the World's Fair in St. Louis. In the wreck, which occurred near Warrensburg, Missouri, 30 people were killed. They were from small Kansas and Missouri towns. This 150 page book gives all the details of the tragedy.
